Sweet CHALLENGE

WHEN one of the biggest candy stores in the country comes to you and says ‘We are building the biggest candy store in the biggest mall in the US and we want something for the entrance AND it has to represent New York. Oh, AND it needs to be made of ACTUAL CANDY!’

THE STATUE of Liberty jumped right out at us. How much space did we actually have? 41' high, fabricate in Brooklyn and move to install in New Jersey. "NO PROBLEM" The concept came easily, the design and engineering a little more complicated, but very doable. 

AFTER A WEEK in design and another week to engineer, we were ready. But how do you estimate how many Jelly Bellies do you need? You don't, you call the client and tell them ‘Let's start with 1500 lbs of sour apple, 800 lbs of kiwi, 400 lbs of watermelon and 1000 lbs of assorted’ and see how that goes. We did that 5 times and yes 1,500,000 beans later we were there. 

9 WEEKS in production and 8 days to install. The result speaks for itself.
